32 Reasons

Alright since I turned 32 yesterday I thought I would share with you 32 reasons life is good for me:

  1. My husband, he is my rock and can always make me laugh.
  2. Emmah, love her and all her craziness, can't wait to see where life takes her.
  3. Jake, he is so sweet and loving.
  4. Family, I have such a wonderful extended family.
  5. Friends, all of them are great, they have been there when ever we needed them (even when we call them at 2am for a place to crash or 1am to get something important for us)
  6. I love my job, all the kids are great and it is so rewarding.
  7. My mom, she is so strong and has been through so much, but still keeps a positive attitude.
  8. My co-workers, they are so much fun and add to making my job so great.
  9. Ice cream, okay who thought that wouldn't make the list???
  10. Sorry, have to add my hubby again, he is just so great!!
  11. My best friends, Amy & Candy, they are always there and always know the right thing to say to help. Love you girls!
  12. Shopping, even if it is the window kind!
  13. Faith in God and knowing he is with me and is watching over me
  14. Health
  15. Scrapbooking, gives me a stress reliever and lets me just be me.
  16. Having a house to keep us warm.
  17. Food to keep us nourished.
  18. Hope, without it where would we all be.
  19. Laughter, its best when its from Emmah and Jake, but I just love the sound in general.
  20. Freedom, we have such freedom here to make our own choices and voice our opinions without fear.
  21. Support, I have so much from friends, family, and co-workers. They have made the last year a great one.
  22. Vacations, we took our first family one this summer and had a BLAST, and learned a few things for next time!
  23. Grandma Bloemers
  24. Family time, we have done more of this and it's been great!
  25. New experiences.
  26. New friends, and contact with old ones.
  27. Weddings, we got to go to a lot of these and it is such a blessing to be part of a couples special day.
  28. Coupons, I know cheesy, but I am so addicted!
  29. Strength, but inside and out.
  30. Ability to grow in my career
  31. Opportunity to give my children new learning experiences and let them try new things.

Okay, not too much to report so I thought that I would let the kids tell you what they like and don't like about winter.

Likes: shoveling....(we are hoping this continues!!), play, tricks?, play on the playset in the snow.

Dislike: eating snow (especially the yellow kind!)

Likes: build snowmen, play on the playset in the snow, shovel, make snow angels, drink hot chocolate, and sledding.

Dislikes: snow days, cold weather

The kids are growing so fast and get funnier everyday. Emmah has been quite into the election so that has been fun to talk with her about that and help her to learn more about what it means to be president.

My Knight in Shining Armor!

Okay I was tagged to do this meme, so well here you go!

How long did you date? We dated for 4 years, because my mom said she didn't want me to get married before I graduated from college. (He asked me the day after!!)

How old is he? 31

Who eats more? He does, he has to fill up when I make a non-burned dinner!

Who said “I love you” first? He did, and I followed I think I knew it first though.

Who is taller? Toby for sure, love that when we dance. (By the way that hardly ever happens!)

Who sings better? He knows the words to songs better than me, but both of us can't really sing. Too bad he missed that family talent.

Who is smarter? Definetly him! I will be the first to say that I have the Masters, but he is smarter than me.

Whose temper is worse? I do.....hate to admit it though, but it's true.

Who does the laundry? We both do the laundry! He does ours most the time, and I do the kids clothes.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do, it is weird if I sleep on the left! This is from laying in it, so I guess looking from the foot I sleep on the left.

Who pays the bills? It used to be me, but now that we are doing Dave Ramsey we both do them together, which is a nice change of pace. I think it brings us closer.

Who cooks dinner? Usually me, although sometimes it isn't always the best I do try! He does make some mean meals though when he is asked or in the mood. I love it when he finds a new reciepe.

Who drives when you are together? Tob does, he is much better than me and we have the driving records to prove it!!

Who is more stubborn? OH that would be me all the way!

Who kissed who first? He did....being a shy girl and all! It was so romantic, we were in my lovely blue Tempo...I don't miss that car at all!!

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Toss up it depends on what we are dealing with....

Whose parents do you see the most? Well both probably, but we do a lot more with his parents, which is great the kids love hanging out with Mimi and Papa.

Who proposed? He did, in Jersey shorts at a Hope house that has since been torn down. It wasn't the most romantic event ever, but it was still one of the best moments in my life!!

Who is more sensitive? Me, I cry at everything!

Who has more friends? I guess I will say him, even though I have now gained all his friends which probably make us even!

Who has more siblings? If you count half and step....Me.....if not then him. I have 5 half brothers and sisters and 2 step. Tob has a brother and a sister!

Who wears the pants in the family? He does on most occasions.

It would be great to hear from some of you about the men in your lives whether or not you have a blog, you can leave it in the comments! Looking forward to learning more about each of you.

Just Plain Cute!

Every night at dinner we always pray before we eat. Usually Jake prays, then Emmah prays. They say a short prayer they also say at daycare. Well last night Jake decided he wanted to say the prayer that Mimi says! (The Lords prayer is the one they say at their house!) He starts off, and basically we have no idea what he said except for Amen! It was so cute, he was dead set on saying that prayer and nothing was going to stop him, not even not knowing the words!

On another note, my mom had surgery again today. It was to go in and debreed the incision on the left leg, that wasn't quite healing and had some infection. Everything went well, and she is doing great, and was trying to get them to let her go home! Everything is going well, but prayers are always good!

Back to the Grind

As Monday approaches we will be returning to our normal schedule. Emmah is thrilled to be going back to school, she has been asking when she goes back for the last 2 weeks! I am happy to get back to work. I love working with the kids. Although everyone is glad to be moving back to our regular schedule, I am a little sad. We have had some really wonderful times together over the past weeks. We've had game nights, baked cookies, shared stories, and hung out with friends and family. One of my New Years goals is to try and do this more hopefully this blog will help hold me to it!!
