Okay I was tagged to do this meme, so well here you go!
How long did you date? We dated for 4 years, because my mom said she didn't want me to get married before I graduated from college. (He asked me the day after!!)
How old is he? 31
Who eats more? He does, he has to fill up when I make a non-burned dinner!
Who said “I love you” first? He did, and I followed I think I knew it first though.
Who is taller? Toby for sure, love that when we dance. (By the way that hardly ever happens!)
Who sings better? He knows the words to songs better than me, but both of us can't really sing. Too bad he missed that family talent.
Who is smarter? Definetly him! I will be the first to say that I have the Masters, but he is smarter than me.
Whose temper is worse? I do.....hate to admit it though, but it's true.
Who does the laundry? We both do the laundry! He does ours most the time, and I do the kids clothes.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do, it is weird if I sleep on the left! This is from laying in it, so I guess looking from the foot I sleep on the left.
Who pays the bills? It used to be me, but now that we are doing Dave Ramsey we both do them together, which is a nice change of pace. I think it brings us closer.
Who cooks dinner? Usually me, although sometimes it isn't always the best I do try! He does make some mean meals though when he is asked or in the mood. I love it when he finds a new reciepe.
Who drives when you are together? Tob does, he is much better than me and we have the driving records to prove it!!
Who is more stubborn? OH that would be me all the way!
Who kissed who first? He did....being a shy girl and all! It was so romantic, we were in my lovely blue Tempo...I don't miss that car at all!!
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Toss up it depends on what we are dealing with....
Whose parents do you see the most? Well both probably, but we do a lot more with his parents, which is great the kids love hanging out with Mimi and Papa.
Who proposed? He did, in Jersey shorts at a Hope house that has since been torn down. It wasn't the most romantic event ever, but it was still one of the best moments in my life!!
Who is more sensitive? Me, I cry at everything!
Who has more friends? I guess I will say him, even though I have now gained all his friends which probably make us even!
Who has more siblings? If you count half and step....Me.....if not then him. I have 5 half brothers and sisters and 2 step. Tob has a brother and a sister!
Who wears the pants in the family? He does on most occasions.
It would be great to hear from some of you about the men in your lives whether or not you have a blog, you can leave it in the comments! Looking forward to learning more about each of you.

Just Plain Cute!
Every night at dinner we always pray before we eat. Usually Jake prays, then Emmah prays. They say a short prayer they also say at daycare. Well last night Jake decided he wanted to say the prayer that Mimi says! (The Lords prayer is the one they say at their house!) He starts off, and basically we have no idea what he said except for Amen! It was so cute, he was dead set on saying that prayer and nothing was going to stop him, not even not knowing the words!
On another note, my mom had surgery again today. It was to go in and debreed the incision on the left leg, that wasn't quite healing and had some infection. Everything went well, and she is doing great, and was trying to get them to let her go home! Everything is going well, but prayers are always good!

Back to the Grind
As Monday approaches we will be returning to our normal schedule. Emmah is thrilled to be going back to school, she has been asking when she goes back for the last 2 weeks! I am happy to get back to work. I love working with the kids. Although everyone is glad to be moving back to our regular schedule, I am a little sad. We have had some really wonderful times together over the past weeks. We've had game nights, baked cookies, shared stories, and hung out with friends and family. One of my New Years goals is to try and do this more hopefully this blog will help hold me to it!!

Year In Review
Okay, I figured since this is my first attempt at a blog, and I haven't been doing this for a year yet it would be hard to reflect on my blog a year ago so I thought what better thing then to highlight some of the highs in our family!
1. My mom is doing much better and on the road to recovery!
2. Emmah lost her first teeth!!!
3. Jake is potty training!!!
4. Emmah started Kindergarten, is it possible I have a 5 year old?
5. We are all happy and healthy.
I know kinda lame, but hey what can we say! Hope everyone has a happy and safe new year!

Christmas in a nutshell!

Okay well of course Santa came to our house and brought many happy smiles to two very lucky and loved little children! This year was one of the best so far since Jake and Emmah both truly understood the whole Santa thing and are beginning to understand the true story of Christmas. Emmah was most excited about her Princess Wii game, which is just for her and daddy to play with (this I will have to see...and don't worry I will also take pictures!) and for Jake his Batman book! We made some truly wonderful memories this Christmas that I plan to continue. I have also had the chance now to sit down and really reflect on the past year and how many things have changed and how we have grown and changed there are many things to be thankful for and many more lessons to be learned. I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas and were able to enjoy some time with family.

A Bloemers Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is the night we reserve every year to celebrate Christmas with the Bloemers family. A good time is always had the this year was no exception. It is always nice to sit down and just talk to everyone, share in some really good food, and of course play a rousing round of BINGO. I think it is one of the highlights for everyone, and this year was no exception. Emmah even got to be the caller for a short time, during dirty BINGO (where people can steal the gifts you have won!) It is great to see everyone, not that we don't see them often, but it is always nice to get together this time of year and reflect on all the wonderful memories of years past and present.

Making Cookies

Well, I decided that since Christmas is fastly approaching that maybe we should make some cookies for Santa. I was a little nervous about taking on this project since a friend of mine had a series of complicating events occur when she attempted, but I pulled up my sleeves and decided to dive it. Besides what else were we going to do, we're SNOWED IN!!

It was a good time. The kids loved deciding what cookie cutter to use, and really wanted to sample them when they are finished. We are going to attempt to make some gingerbread boys and girls later today, and then decorate. That I am waiting for Toby for, things never go well with frosting and a 5 year old and a 3 year old!!
