Pumpkin Pie Shake

Looking for something yummy and delicious??
Something uniquely fall?
Well I have just the treat for you!

One of the fun blogs I follow led me to this fabulous site How Sweet It Is which has some truly incredible recipes!
Since my hubby LOVES his pumpkin pie we decided to whip this up!
Ingredients:
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup cream or half and half
1 Tbsp vanilla
2/3 pureed pumpkin
1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
*We skipped the pumpkin pie spice and the bourbon, since we were making them for the kids too!

Mix all ingredients in the blender and ENJOY!!!

Even I who doesn't LOVE pumpkin so much liked these shakes!!

{Tutu Cute}

As part of Emmah's Halloween costume a tutu was needed so I went on my usual hunt on Pinterest for a easy tutorial! I find just what I needed with a super easy trick included at treasures for tots. (She has a great site, with lots of fun stuff!!)

Here is what you need:
2-3 25 yd spools of tulle (multi colors are fun!)
2-3 yds of 1" or larger grosgrain ribbon

To get started you will want to get a piece of card board about 7-8" wide and then depending on what size tutu you are making 15-25" long. Then wrap tulle around the cardboard lengthwise. Continue til all colors are complete. Next you will want to add rubber bands about 4" from the end of the cardboard. Then proceed to cut at the ends of the cardboard, this gives you all your tulle strips perfectly measured!!

Next it is time to start slip knoting on he stripes! You'll want to cut your ribbon about 1 1/2-2 times the waist measurement. Then tie one end to a chair leg, table leg (it just helps when slip knotting) about 15" in. Then begin by slip knotting. You'll want to choose a pattern, I chose to do 2 blacks 1 yellow.

Continue until you have enough to go around your subject...You'll want the tulle to go all the way around tight.
Once this is done...tie a bow at the end and VIOLA!

Now we just have one more part to complete this Halloween costume...can you guess what she is going to bee??

{Fall Fun}

Well today we finally went out and did one of my most favorite fall activities...Apple Picking!!
I just love to go and even though this year our fall has been busier than ever I knew we had to make time to go. So today we headed to a local orchard, Cranes and had some fun. We sampled some apples to make sure we got just the right ones. And to my delight my favorite kind....HONEYCRISP were still available!!

 We had so much fun and just love this fun fall tradition!! We are even going to give making an apple pie a try this year!! I can hardly wait to enjoy all our yummy apples!!

Fallin

I LOVE fall!! It is one of my favorite seasons! I love the fall colors, the slightly crisper air, the football (sorta) and the fun fall activities that go along with it!! I have been on a real craft kick lately as well as looking for a nice festive wreath to hang on my door to celebrate this wonderful season.

Well I am cheap so I have not been having much luck. In my many hunts of the blogs that I follow, which usually leads me to more blogs to follow (it's an endless cycle really!) I recently came upon this awesome yarn wreath. Not only is this wreath budget friendly it is the modern chic I LOVE!! So I decided to give it a try, I mean there were step by step directions so how hard could it be?

Not hard at all! I was so excited to make it I bought my supplies and had to start it that day...of course I had to wait til 1o:45 to start which in turn made for a late night. I finished up yesterday and am so excited how it turned out! I am definitely making more of these!

If you want to make one of you own check out blog take heart and make one of your own!!
Happy Craftin!
